The Play Cafe welcomes anyone who cares for small children!
The Play Cafe meets in the Church Hall every Thursday during term time between 1pm and 2.30pm, providing a safe space to come and relax while the children you care for play.
A light lunch (usually soup, bread, savoury nibbles and plenty of fruit) is included in the suggested donation of £1.50, to cover food costs for both children and adults. If you're not financially able to donate, you are still very welcome to share lunch with us.
The Play Cafe is run by a fun-loving group of volunteers from the church who are always on hand for a chat and to welcome new members.
We aim to provide a friendly, welcoming and relaxed environment where adults can make new friends and feel supported and encouraged as they respond to the challenges of bringing up young children and the children (from new babies to pre-schoolers) and feel safe and stimulated as they play with others.
Baby changing facilities are available and we also have a large car park, so plenty of space of parking and space for buggies too.
So… if
you fancy a break where your child can play in safety, where you can meet and
chat with other adults over a hot cup of tea or coffee and a light lunch, then we’d love to see
you on a Thursday afternoon.
