Baptisms, Weddings and Funerals

FontA baptism in a joyous occasion.  A baptism is an initiation of a person into the Christian faith, the Christian family.  Baptism is a new beginning into a new life with Christ.  Usually, baptisms take place during a regular Sunday morning service, so that the congregation can welcome the newly baptised person into the family of the Church.   Jesus Himself was baptised in the river Jordan.  You can read the story in the Gospel of Luke, chapter 3.  At the end of His earthly life Jesus instructed His followers, His Church, to go out into all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.  He finished by promising to be with us until the end of the age.  If you would like to be baptised please contact the parish office on 020 8660 3251.  Or email the parish office by clicking here.
